In the underbelly of the city, where the neon lights flicker and shadows dance, there skulks a lowlife known by many names: Parasite Pete, Pusher Pete, Pilfering Pete. To the untrained eye, he might seem like just another small-time hoodlum, but in his own mind, he's a big shot, an important tough guy with the world at his fingertips. Pete's game is peddling poison, but he's his own best customer, sampling more of his product than he ever sells. His eyes, glassy and wild, dart around like a cornered rat, always on the lookout for the next mark or the next fix. With a greasy grin, he’ll sidle up to you, his favorite threat ready on his lips: “I know where your skeletons are.” In reality, Pete’s as small-time as they come, a mere blip on the radar of the city's criminal landscape. Yet, he struts through the streets with an air of undeserved confidence, a living reminder that even the lowest rung of the underworld ladder has its delusions of grandeur.
